Navigating Our Site

As with the design of our retail locations, much thought went into the design of this website. Our goal was for it to be stylish, clean and intuitive … again, just like our stores. We believe we’ve accomplished that. We do hope you will find our site easy to get about and locate the items you are looking for. After shopping around a little, please give us your feedback at feedback@paperaffair.com ».

So let us walk you through using our site. At any time, you may click on our logo and return to the home page.

SHOPPING

— There are a number of ways to shop.

    Shop by Speed Shop.

In the Speed Shop field at the top right of your screen, enter key words, categories or themes, such as ribbon, margarita, candle, swimming, cocktails or Halloween. Or you can enter a particular sku number or vendor name. Basically, we’ve associated each of our products with a wide variety of identifiable search elements so you can hone in on exactly what you are looking for using this tool. Keep in mind, words you insert in Speed Shop may produce items that you don’t feel fit within your specific search. The term you inserted may have been listed somewhere in an item’s description, thus included in your resulting assortment.

    Shop by Menu.

From the home page, you may select one of menu categories at the top of your screen. Each of those categories will take you to a visual of some product shots, items you might find within this arm of navigation, and a note to you welcoming you in. You will then also see another menu line of categories, we call subcategories, under the first level. Click on the subcategory that you wish to browse and view product selections that way. For example, select INVITATION from the top menu bar. Then select BABY from the menu bar below that. The products that you will see are items that fall under the theme baby as well as the invitation category. An item thats not associated with those 2 elements would not be viewable here. A bread-crumb trail of the path you’ve taken is viewable below our logo.

Further navigation is available by then selecting a sub-subcategory from the drop down menu at the end of the bread-crumb trail. When you select from this menu, items that are NOT associated with the sub-subcategory you choose, will be removed from the selection below. The bread crumb trail will display the path youve taken. Selecting a new sub-subcategory will result in a new sort of products. The navigation stretches only this far.

It actually sounds more complicated than it really is, so please give it a try!

    Shop by Brand.

The last option on every sub-category menu is BRAND. When you select BRAND, a page of vendor logos will appear. These are the vendors in which we feature products within the top level category you selected BRAND from. For example, select INVITATION from the top menu bar. Then select BRAND from the menu bar below that. The page that results is a list of vendors that each have invitations in their product selection.

On the vendor logo page, you can peruse a short description/background of the vendor and their products. If you select a vendor logo, the selection that appears will be limited to items that are of that vendor AND the category you initially selected.

SORTING

— However you have opted to browse, the resulting multiple "thumbnail" pages showcase an array of products for you to peruse. You have the option of sorting these items a number of different ways.

  1. Newest

    — this is our default sort. This sort will display the items in order of the newest to the oldest added to our site. This will be especially helpful when you revisit a selection season to season.
  2. Price

    — This sort will display the thumbnails in order of the lowest price to the highest price. Be sure to note the quantities in which an item is sold. A set of 20 will most often be more expensive than a set of 10 and therefore displayed later on the list. Be sure to look at the entire selection before ruling anything out. The quantity an item is sold in is listed on the product detail page.
  3. Item Name

    — This is simply an alphabetical sort of the name of the item. Its most useful when youve noted the name associated with a product you looked at. Sort by Item Name and quickly hone in on the one youre looking for. Of course, Speed Shop works as well for this.
  4. Brand Name

    — This sort will display the thumbnails in alphabetical order by vendor name.

— Clicking on any thumbnail will direct you to the product detail page where you can more closely view the item youve chosen, review the products physical description, dimensions, price as well as other useful information. This is also where you will be shown any related products, if offered, such as a matching thank you note or a reply card. And you may begin your order of this product from this page as well.

HELPFUL ICONS

— There are two icons you will become familiar with upon shopping with us. Each launch useful pop up windows that will help you formulate your decisions.

  • Screen Shot The gray and white arrow icon will display useful information or move you forward with steps in the ordering process. Click on this icon for a price chart, an enlarged view of an item or to modify your shipping address. This icon is associated with adding an item to your wish list for later viewing or sending an image to a friend to view. These pop up windows must be closed manually.
  • Screen Shot The red and white question mark icon will display specific details regarding elements of order process. Click on this icon for an explanation of the methods of printing available or for a viewable display of the ink colors and fonts available. You may select your choice from these pop up windows and the window will automatically close and your selection will propagate in the correct space.
